New Delhi, Online Desk. Indian spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has recently surpassed Kapil Dev’s record of 434 wickets in the Mohali Test. He is now second only to Anil Kumble in terms of taking most wickets in Test cricket for India. Anil Kumble is the number one Indian bowler with 619 wickets.

Ashwin achieved this feat by dismissing Sri Lankan batsman Aslanka in the Mohali Test. Apart from taking 6 wickets in the match, he also played an innings of 61 runs. After achieving this feat, he said that Kapil Dev was never left behind in his list.

He also told about the wishes sent to him by Kapil Dev. Ashwin said that after this achievement, Kapil Paaji also sent him a bouquet with hand written notes to his house. He said “It’s like a dream.
