IND vs ZIM, Shikhar Dhawan: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed about passing the fitness test of opener KL Rahul on Thursday night. Along with this, the board also appointed him as the captain for the Zimbabwe tour.

As soon as Rahul became fit, the captaincy was snatched from Dhawan :-

The BCCI had announced the team for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe a few days ago and then the responsibility of captaincy was handed over to opener Shikhar Dhawan. But as soon as Rahul became fit, Dhawan stripped of the captaincy and made the vice-captain of the team.

Fans angry with the decision to snatch the captaincy from Shikhar Dhawan :-

Fans are happy with KL Rahul’s return to Team India, but are also angry with BCCI’s decision to snatch the captaincy from Dhawan. After this decision of the board, the fans got angry on Twitter and said that senior players like Dhawan should be respected by the BCCI.

Let us tell you, in the absence of senior players, Dhawan recently took charge of the team on the West Indies tour.

KL Rahul was out of the team after IPL 2022 :-

KL Rahul is running out of the team after IPL 2022. He was appointed captain for the home T20 series against South Africa. But ruled out of the series due to injury.

After this, KL Rahul could not go on the England tour due to sports hernia surgery. When he was ready to return on the Windies tour, he was hit by Kovid-19.

KL Rahul was first selected as a player for the Zimbabwe tour, but after passing the fitness test, he has now been made the captain.
