In response, India won the match by scoring 167 runs in 25.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Chasing the target of 162 runs, the first blow to the Indian team came in the form of captain KL Rahul.

On Saturday, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 161 runs

Earlier, India bowled out Zimbabwe for 161 in the second ODI on Saturday on the back of a fine performance by fast bowler Shardul Thakur, who returned to the team. Thakur, who made it to the team in the absence of Deepak Chahar, gave Zimbabwe double blows in the 12th over. He took three wickets for 38 runs in seven overs.
