Indian Cricket Team Review Meeting:

A senior BCCI official said, “Nothing is final yet. We are exploring several options. Rahul is in our plans. But they are also burdened with work. Our entire focus is on the World Cup at home. The message is clear to all, we have to win the World Cup. So it is clear that the focus is not on T20 at the moment. Various discussions are taking place. But the final decision will have to involve the CAC and the selectors. And it will take some time.”

How will Team India move forward and how and how to start preparing for the upcoming World Cup

The year 2022 was not good for Team India, as it could not even reach the finals of the Asia Cup in which India was a strong contender. Very poor performance in T20 World Cup. Injuries to players continued to be a problem. All these will be taken care of. But the most important will be the discussion on the plan ahead. What is going to be the roadmap ahead? How will Team India move forward and how it start preparing for the upcoming World Cup?

Today Rohit Sharma has to return to India, he was spending holidays in the Maldives. Coach Rahul Dravid will also come to Mumbai. Anyway, he had to come to Mumbai for the series against Sri Lanka. NCA head VVS Laxman will also be present in the meeting.

The question will be in front of the NCA head, why players are getting injured

A big question BCCI can ask in front of NCA head VVS Laxman is how the players got so many injuries in the past. There were many big players including Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Deepak Chahar who were injured for a long time. After playing a couple of matches, his injury returned, the effect of which was seen in big tournaments as well. Why is this happening, where is the mistake happening, and how to find the right solution for it?

NCA looks after the management of players’ injuries, so its head VVS Laxman has also been called into the meeting. Laxman also plays the role of the interim coach of Team India, so further future will be discussed with him. Maybe BCCI is looking at him as a full-time coach going forward.
