IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya: I m not feeling anything right now. Trying to stay balanced, says the captain of Gujarat Titans, the first finalist of IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya. His team defeated Rajasthan Royals in the first qualifier match played at Eden Gardens. In this match, Gujarat easily chased the target of 189 runs given by Rajasthan.

After this victory, captain Hardik Pandya first talked about keeping his emotions under control.

They said- ‘I’ve tried to keep things in balance. I have seen tough times. with my body. Bio bubble life. But my son, my wife, and my brother. He has played a very important role. He has kept me balanced.

On reaching the finals in the debut season itself, Hardik said,

‘I don’t feel much right now. I am trying to stay balanced. One thing that I am very proud of is that the 23 players in the squad have different personalities. They bring different things to the field. All I told Miller was that if you have good people around you, you get good things.

We have genuine players in our team who allow us to do well. I really see that the players sitting outside the playing 11 want us to do well.

In talking to international players and youth as captain, Hardik said,

‘It was just that we respect the game. We talked to Miller about this. Rashid has been amazing this whole season but I feel more proud of Miller. I told him ‘let’s respect this game’. We did goof up against Mumbai Indians, but here we wanted to respect the game, even if we lose. But they also wanted us to finish the match.

Along with all this, Captain Hardik himself also talked about the decision to bat at number four.

He said-“As a cricketer, I have always been such a player that I can bat anywhere according to the need of the team. I haven’t been able to bat at the position of my choice. I have been able to play where the team needs me. We have a batting line-up where we need runs. Even 20 runs can be a winning run for us. We appreciate those 10-15 runs.

On winning the IPL 2022 title, Hardik said-

“When we started this tournament, of course, we wanted to win. This is a dream. I have reached the IPL finals four times, and we have won them all. That’s what I was telling the boys.

What happened in the match?

In the first qualifier match played between Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Gujarat team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Rajasthan scored 188 runs in 20 overs due to Jos Buttler’s innings of 89 runs in 56 balls. The start of Gujarat, chasing the target, was also not good. Wriddhiman Saha returned to the score of zero. After this, there was a partnership of 71 runs in 43 balls between Matthew Wade and Shubman Gill.

And after both of them returned, David Miller and Hardik Pandya finished the match with an unbeaten partnership of 106 runs in 61 balls. David Miller took Gujarat to the final by hitting three consecutive sixes in the last over.
