Batting first, Lucknow scored 199 runs at the loss of 4 wickets on the back of KL Rahul’s brilliant 101 runs but chasing the target of 200 runs, Mumbai team could score only 181 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. This is Mumbai’s sixth consecutive defeat and now reaching the playoffs is looking very difficult for them.

Mumbai poor batting once again

Chasing the target of 200 runs, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan started the innings for Mumbai. But could not get the team off to a good start. Mumbai got its first blow as captain. Mumbai got the fifth blow in the form of Suryakumar Yadav. He caught by Bishnoi at the hands of Gautam. He scored 37 runs. Mumbai got the sixth blow in the form of Fabian Allen. He caught by Avesh Khan at the hands of Chamira. He scored 8 runs.

Lucknow innings, Rahul’s century

Batting first after losing the toss, Lucknow set a target of 200 runs in front of Mumbai thanks to KL Rahul’s unbeaten 101. Earlier, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock started the innings like every time for Lucknow. Both gave a quick start to the team but in the sixth over, the team got the first blow in the form of De Kock. Debutant Fabian Allen got him out lbw. He played a short innings of 24 runs. The second blow to the team came in the form of Manish Pandey. He bowled by Murugan Ashwin on the score of 38 runs. Lucknow got the third blow in the form of Stoinis, Unadkat got him caught by Rohit. He scored 10 runs. Lucknow got the fourth blow in the form of Deepak Hooda. He caught by Unadkat at the hands of Ishan Kishan. He scored 15 runs.
