IPL 2022: Rashid Khan Appointed As Vice-Captain: Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has been picked as the vice-captain of the Gujarat Titans (GT) franchise ahead of their opening game against fellow newcomers, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday.

Rashid was bought by GT for Rs 15 crore

Khan was bought by GT for Rs 15 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. He will serve as all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s deputy. Which were bought before the auction for the same amount.

Hardik is a very nice person

Khan- He’s a very nice person. We haven’t played together before. But the friendship and bond we share still make it feel like we’ve been playing together for years. He’s a great guy whenever he can. We always bring in positive energy when we talk about our game and his mindset.”

Rashid- a great opportunity for me to learn as much as I can

“He is the captain, it will be a great opportunity for me to learn as much as I can. I will also share my experiences of playing in different leagues. He added, “He is a new captain and it is a new team so he will definitely have a lot of things going on in his mind.”
