A total of Rs 167 crore was spent for this. Out of 405 players, 80 players were sold in the auction, out of which 29 were foreign players.

England’s Sam Karan became the most expensive player in IPL history while creating history. He was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.5 crore. Whereas, Mayank Agarwal was the highest paid player from India. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.25 crore.
