Ishan Kishan may not have played for India since the end of the T20 series against Australia in November 2023, but he has been in the news for the wrong reasons in recent times. However, head coach Rahul Dravid categorically denied any issues with discipline for Kishan, saying that Ishan Kishan had requested for a break in South Africa and he is not available for selection yet. Dravid told to reporters :-

Dravid told reporters that there were no discipline issues with Kishan, adding that the wicketkeeper-batsman would have to play domestic cricket to make himself available for selection. “There is absolutely no disciplinary issue. Ishan Kishan was not available for selection. Ishan had requested for a break, which we agreed to in South Africa. We supported that. He has not made himself available yet. When he is available, he will play domestic cricket and make himself available for selection.”

However, Kishan is yet to make himself available for selection for his state team Jharkhand. Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) secretary Debashish Chakraborty told PTI, “No, Ishan has not contacted us or told us anything about his availability. Whenever he tells us, he will be included in the final XI.” Will be done.”
