Katie Mack has signed a two-year deal with Adelaide Strikers

Katie Mack was in the Strikers’ journey to the WBBL|07 final last summer, scoring 513 runs at 64.12. Including five half-centuries, with only Perth Scorchers star Beth Mooney hitting more runs for the tournament.

The 29-year-old’s re-signing completes Adelaide’s list for the Webber WBBL. Signed only 2 weeks before the start of the tournament.

Mack will form a powerful batting line-up with South African star Laura Wolvaardt, West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin, Gun Australia all-rounder Tahlia McGrath and locals Bridget Patterson and Maddy Penna.

“Last year it was very important for us to have Katie as a stable figure in the top order and she scored consistently at the start of the innings,” said Strikers coach Luke Williams.

“We are delighted to welcome her again for the next two seasons and can’t wait to see what she contributes.”

Adelaide has its own WBBL | 07 Team has made three changes

Adelaide has its own WBBL. Three changes have been made to the 07 team, which includes Dotin, Zimbabwe all-rounder Anesu Mushangwe and young fast Ella Wilson.

Ara Coyte is gone after signing with the Melbourne Renegades. While Proteas captain Dane van Niekerk and Nell Bryson-Smith are the other non-contracted members of last summer’s side.

His WBBL, The 08 campaign will begin on 15 October against the Sydney Sixers at McKay.
