Sri Lankan pacer Lahiru Kumara and Bangladesh batsman Liton Das were fining on Sunday (October 24) following a dispute in the T20 World Cup Super 12 match.
While Lahiru has been finding 25 percent of the match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. Das will be fine 15 percent.
ICC said in a statement :-
“Lahiru Kumara was founding guilty. A breach of Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Acceptance Personnel, involving the use of ‘language. and abusive actions or gestures, or which constitute an offensive resistance. can provoke.

The Found guilty of infringement :-
Batsman for his dismissal during an international match. Liton Das was founding guilty of violating Article 2.20 of the ICC’s Code of Conduct for Players and Players of the Personnel. which deals with the spirit of the game, dealing with controversy.”
The incident happened during the fifth over of the match when Lahiru Kumara was successful in dismissing Das and got into a war of words on his way to the batsman.
The Campaign generated response :-
The pacer’s actions created a campaign backlash from the batsman as well. And as a result, teammates and office-bearers had to step in between the pair.

Apart from the fine, both the players also got one demerit point each. He pleaded guilty to the offenses and accepted the stay.
