Lasith Malinga Son: Lasith Malinga was the backbone of the Mumbai Indian’s bowling attack during his tenure. He won the Purple Cap award in IPL 2011 and was the leading wicket-taker in the tournament’s history for a long time. He retired as a player in IPL in 2020, after which his new innings as a coach started. Earlier this year in Major Cricket League (MLC 2023) he was appointed by MI New York, the affiliate franchise of Mumbai Indians, as their bowling coach. Lasith Malinga is with MI New York in the ongoing Major League Cricket in America. During this, Malinga’s son Duvin has also gone with him to America for Major League Cricket. Duvin Malinga was also seen bowling during the net session of the MI New York team. His father commented after watching him from outside the nets.

Sharing Duvin Malinga’s video on Instagram, MI New York wrote, “When you are Malinga and on target, Duvin Malinga has the best teachers.”

Former Sri Lankan pacer Dhammika Prasad saw the reel shared by MI New York and wrote a comment below the post. In Prasad’s eyes, Duvin Malinga’s bowling style was similar to his father’s round-arm action.
