Class is permanent and form is temporary.” He also mentioned about KL Rahul.
Mahela Jayawardene believes that Rahul’s non-playing of cricket is a cause for concern for Team India
After performing well in IPL 2022, KL Rahul was out of the team due to injury and corona. In such a situation, Mahela Jayawardene believes that Rahul’s non-playing of cricket is a cause of concern for Team India. “He (Rahul not playing cricket) will be a matter of concern for India. He has been out for a while since the IPL, so playing time is very important. Especially in the middle,” he added.

Regarding what other options Team India has for the top order, he said. Even though he (Pant) hasn’t done that (open batting) much in domestic cricket, he has the ability to do that. That’s where he is.” You bat too, you can’t change his game. He’s going to be a very natural player, so yes, that is an option (opening Pant).”
