Mayank, who is captaining Bengaluru Blasters in the league, scored a brilliant century against Shivamogga Strikers to give his team a thumping nine-wicket victory. Mayank Agarwal played an unbeaten innings of 102 off 49 balls during his innings. During this, he hit a total of 16 boundaries including 10 fours and 6 sixes. The captain scored runs at a strike rate of 208. Batting first, Shivamogga Strikers scored 173 for 2 wickets, which was achieved by Bengaluru Blasters for the loss of one wicket in 15.4 overs.

Mayank Agarwal became the second batsman to score a century in the tournament

With this, Mayank Agarwal has become the second batsman to score a century in the tournament. He has also won the Orange Cap as well. Before Mayank Agarwal, Rohan Patil of Gulberg Mystics scored the first century of the tournament against Mysuru Warriors on Thursday. Mayank has so far scored 241 runs in four innings in this tournament.

Bharat and Kadam also hit half-centuries

Shivamogga Strikers got off to a good start in the first match. Openers Rohan Kadam and KS Bharat shared a 116-run partnership for the first wicket in 14.2 overs. Both the batsmen completed their respective half-centuries. While Bharat hit 5 fours in his innings of 51 off 45 balls, Rohan scored 84 runs off 52 balls at a strike rate of 162 and hit 8 fours and 3 sixes.
