The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has made 19 new names part of Life Membership. It includes a total of 17 names including male and female players from eight Test playing nations, while two such members have also been honored, who have not contributed to cricket. Five stalwarts from India are also among the honored members. These names include the names of former Indian MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami.

This year’s list includes five former players from India and England, as well as players from Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and the West Indies.
MCC Chief Executive and Secretary Guy Lavender said,
We are thrilled to be able to announce our new cohort of Honorary Life Membership of MCC, as we prepare for the new international summer. The names announced today are some of the greatest international players of modern times, and we are now privileged to count them as valued members of our club.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh were both integral parts of the Indian team that won the 2007 ICC Men’s World T20 and the 2011 ICC Men’s World Cup, and Suresh Raina scored over 5,500 ODI runs in a career spanning 13 years and that too winning the ODI World Cup. Was an important part of the team.
At the same time, Mithali Raj is the highest run-scorer in ODI cricket, while her partner Jhulan is the most successful bowler in ODIs and has the most wickets in her name.
