Sachin Tendulkar is my role model :-
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is included in the list of former captain and great wicketkeeper of Team India, has revealed a secret. He said that he also thought of joining cricket after seeing the greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar in his childhood and he also wanted to play like him.
Dhoni said that his role model in cricket was Sachin and he too was inspired by him. Wanted to bat like him. Although Sachin and Dhoni’s batting style, batting order and records… everything was different. Sachin and Dhoni played together 70 Tests, 117 ODIs and one T20 International match.
A dream of Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained unfulfilled :-
Dhoni, who hails from Ranchi, has said that one of his dreams remained unfulfilled. A video of Dhoni, who retired from international cricket two years ago, has been shared by his IPL team Chennai Super Kings. In this he is saying in front of the children, ‘My role model has always been Sachin Tendulkar.
When I was like you and used to watch Sachin Tendulkar play, I also wanted to play like him. Later I realized that I cannot play like him. Although I always dreamed of playing like him.
I always thought about it.’ He was recently seen on the tennis court during an ad shoot with Sachin Tendulkar.
Dhoni told his favorite subject :-
During this time a girl asked Dhoni the favorite subject of his school. He first started laughing and then he said, ‘Does sports qualify as a subject?’
Hearing his answer, the children also started making loud noises. CSK has written in the caption of the video – Thala’s favorite period is PT (Physical Training). The period that children get for sports in school is called PT.
The only captain to have won all three ICC trophies :-
Mahendra Singh Dhoni won all three ICC trophies under his captaincy. He is the first captain in the world to do so. Under his leadership, India won the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013. Dhoni also made Chennai Super Kings champion thrice in IPL.
