Former South African international David Wiese has been selected in Namibia’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad announced today.

Gerhard Erasmus will lead Namibia‘s 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup. The WC is to be held in the UAE and Oman in October and November. The selectors have also picked former South African all-rounder David Wiese in the squad.

Wiese has shown a glimpse in quality-home series against Uganda. As well as South African and Zimbabwe Emerging sides. Perhaps the biggest news is the inclusion of former South African international David Wiese. That time he is qualified for the team.
Ireland, the Netherlands, and Sri Lanka are in Group A of the first round of the competition-
Opener Jean-Pierre Kotje and spinner Zhivago Groenewald have retired from international cricket. While Nico Devine and Christie Viljoen have been dropped. Namibia, who qualified for the tournament in 2019 on the basis of their fifth-place finish in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Namibia will take on Ireland, Netherlands, and Sri Lanka in Group A of the first round of the competition.
