The training session canceled in Manchester

India’s support staff – assistant physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar has tested positive for COVID-19. The training session of the Indian team had to be canceled a day before the start of the Test in Manchester. In what could have a major impact on the fifth and final Test of India’s tour of England.

Members of the Indian squad were asked to stay back in their hotel rooms until further notice.

Board president Sourav Ganguly said-

The Indian team held a meeting with the BCCI on Thursday morning. This will now approach the ECB for further action. “We don’t know whether the match will happen at this point in time or not,” board president Sourav Ganguly said during a book launch in Kolkata. “Hopefully we can get some play.”

India’s scheduled pre-match press conference has been canceled.

Jos Buttler has said-

“We don’t know much about it at the moment. It would be foolish to speculate on what’s going on. For the time being, we are fully expecting the game to go ahead and we are preparing that way.” So that the game progresses.”

Several Players Suffering From Various Niggles-

The concern for the Indian team is that Parmar is testing several players suffering from various niggles including Rohit Sharma (knee), Cheteshwar Pujara (ankle), and Ravindra Jadeja (knee) as well as the duo of Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma.

Parmar is the second physiotherapist

Parmar is the second physiotherapist on the Indian medical team. He had to take charge midway through the fourth Test. As lead physio Nitin Patel was identified as a close contact of Shastri. Shastri tested positive for COVID-19 on the fourth day of the test.

Anyone in the playing group tests positive affect the resumption of IPL 2021-

If anyone in the playing group tests positive, it could also affect the resumption of IPL 2021, which begins in the UAE on September 19, five days after the scheduled end of the England tour. The Indian players will fly from Manchester to Dubai on September 15 as per the original travel plan.
