NZ vs WI, 2nd T20: New Zealand thrashed West Indies by a huge margin of 90 runs in the second T20 to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. In the first T20, the visiting team defeated the Windies by 13 runs.

In the second T20 played in Jamaica, New Zealand, batting first, set a target of 216 runs to win against West Indies on the basis of the stormy batting of Glenn Phillips. The tail batsmen batted till the end to save the team from getting all out. West Indies scored 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell took 3-3 wickets for the Kiwis, while Sodhi and Saudi had 1-1 successes in their account. The last match of the series is to be played at this ground on August 14.
