The new season of Ranji Trophy has started from Friday 5th January. Many big Indian players took the field on the first day, but Bihar’s Vaibhav Suryavanshi grabbed the most headlines.
Is Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s age fake?
Vaibhav made his Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar on 5 January and with this he created history by becoming one of the youngest players to participate in Indian first-class cricket. He achieved this feat during his debut in the Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna. However, by the end of the day, news started coming out regarding his age being fake.
On many online platforms, his age is being stated as 12 years, but a video of his from last year is going viral on social media in which he himself is seen saying that he will turn 14 in September. However, it is still difficult to confirm what is Suryavanshi’s real age.

Suryavanshi has also shown the power of his talent in Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2023 :-
Suryavanshi also showcased his talent in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2023, where he scored 393 runs in five matches and was the eighth highest run-scorer. Apart from this, he scored 151 and 76 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy match of Bihar Under-19 team against Jharkhand.

Suryavanshi’s cricket journey started at the age of 6. By the time he turned seven, he had joined a cricket academy. Under the guidance of former Ranji cricketer Manish Ojha, he honed his skills and grew as a player. By performing in Ranji Trophy, he can make his mark on a bigger level.
