Ranji Trophy: Uttar Pradesh all out for 142 against Uttarakhand, Haryana Defeats Nagaland

Uttarakhand cheaply bundled out Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy on Thursday (January 12). With the help of left-arm fast bowler Advance Tiwary’s excellent bowling, he got UP all out for 142 runs. Advance took four wickets for 27 runs. Sameer Chaudhary scored the most runs for Uttar Pradesh. He scored 49 runs. Sameer Chaudhary faced 126 balls in his innings and hit six fours and a six.

Uttarakhand scored 65 runs for two wickets in the first innings

Ajay Negi got three wickets and Deepak Dhapola got two wickets for Uttarakhand. Mayank Mishra got one wicket. In reply, Uttarakhand scored 65 runs for two wickets in the first innings. Uttarakhand is still 77 runs behind. At the end of the third day’s play, Priyanshu Khanduri was playing on 24 and Kunal Chandela was playing on 11 runs. Kartikeya took both the wickets for Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh team went into play ahead of their Wednesday’s score of 107 for six. The team lost its remaining four wickets by adding 35 runs.

Haryana beat Nagaland by an innings and 69

Haryana registered a resounding victory by defeating Nagaland by an innings and 69 runs. Amit Rana of Haryana took 12 wickets in the match. Nagaland was reduced to 88 runs in the first innings. Srikant Munde top-scored for Nagaland with 32 runs. Amit Rana took five wickets for 15 runs for Haryana. In response, Haryana declared its first innings by scoring 229 runs for seven wickets. Yuvraj Singh top-scored for Haryana with 75 runs. Haryana then bundled out Nagaland for 72 in the second innings with the help of Amit Rana (7/24) to seal the match.

Punjab got an edge over Jammu and Kashmir

Captain Mandeep Singh’s half-century helped Punjab take a first innings lead against Jammu and Kashmir. Mandeep scored 69 runs in 104 balls with the help of nine fours and Punjab managed to score 268 runs in the first innings. Jammu and Kashmir’s first innings was reduced to 212 runs and thus Punjab got a lead of 56 runs in the first innings. Baltej Singh took five wickets for 47 runs in the first innings for Punjab. At the end of the third day’s play, Jammu and Kashmir scored 18 runs for one wicket in the second innings.
