On 22 December 2017, Rohit Sharma hit the fastest T20I century in just 35 balls when Rohit Sharma fulfilled his wish and set the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on fire as he scored a century off 35 balls.
The Fastest T20I Century :-
In this tactic, he equaled South African batsman David Miller’s record for the fastest T20I century.
The Mumbai Indians captain hit eight sixes before completing his century in the second ball of the 12th over of Angelo Mathews.

The right-handed batsman pairing up with KL Rahul (89 off 49) and when the Karnataka batsman was dismissing. the Indian openers had scored 165 runs in 12.4 overs.
The Score Reached 260 For 5 Wickets :-
The skills of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul took India’s total to 260 for 5 at the end of 20 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka was bundling out for 172 for 17.2. India won this match by 88 runs.
Sharma completed his fifty in 22 balls and apart from this he really struggled. Asela Gunaratne conceding 21 runs in the 9th over. While captain Thisara Perera was dismissing for four consecutive sixes in the 11th over.
Rohit Sharma reached a scintillating century on the first ball of the 12th over and achieved the feat with a classic cover drive. He was so quick after the half-century that he reached a ton in just 12 balls.
A Shot Wrong On Dushmant’s Ball :-
He was eventually dismissed when he mishandled a shot off Dushmant Chamira and was dismissed for 118 runs off 43 balls.
Kusal Perera had scored 77 off 37 balls but India bounced back courtesy of spin-twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, giving India a game and a three-match series.

“The stage was ready, conditions were good to bat. What I was trying to do was hit through the line. It turned out really well. Been there and had some fun too,” Rohit said after the match.
