De Kock said in a statement issued by CSA, “This is not a learning that I have come to easily.”

“I’ve taken a lot of time to think about what my future looks like and what should be the priority in my life now when Sasha. And I am about to welcome our first child into this world and want our family to grow beyond that.

My family is everything to me and I seek the time. And space to be with them during this new and exciting chapter in my life.

“I love Test cricket and I love guiding my country and whatever comes with it. I’ve enjoyed the ups and downs, the celebrations, and even the disappointments. But now I like something like Found which interests me even more.

“In life, you can buy almost everything except time, and right now. It’s time to do right by the people that mean the most to me.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been a part of my Test cricket journey from the very beginning. To my coaches, teammates, various leadership teams, and my family and friends – I could not show up. I did without your approval.

“This is not the last of my career as a Protea, I am totally opposed to white-ball cricket and will represent my country to the best of my ability for the foreseeable future.

“Best wishes to my teammates for the remainder of this Test series against India.

“See you in ODIs and T20s”:-

The 29-year-old de Kock started 2021 as South Africa’s provisional Test captain and ended it by retiring from Pralekh. He also guided South Africa to a record of 50% wins in four Test matches against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. South Africa defeated Sri Lanka 2–0 at home but lost to Pakistan by the same disparity.

De Kock expressed concern over bubble life’s resistance to the COVID-19 pandemic and was rested for South Africa’s ODIs in Sri Lanka and against the Netherlands.

“It is sad to lose a player of the caliber of Quinton, whom we still look up to at the prime of his career and relatively young life, but family, as we here at CSA,” CSA’s Executive CEO Foletsi Mosecki said in the statement. Yes, it’s everything.”

“He has been a loyal and proud servant of the Proteas team for the past seven years and we are glad we haven’t lost him completely from the game.”

One Of Many Players :-

De Kock was also one of several players – all white – who opted not to kneel when South Africa decided to give their players the option of taking a knee, raising a fist, or paying attention.

He chose none of them when he first went out in the West Indies. Where he gestured for anti-racism but gave a three-finger salute in tribute to a friend who was injured in Afghanistan and his approval for rhino care. Shown.

In the T20 World Cup, when CSA forced players to kneel. De Kock initially disapproved and consequently missed the game against West Indies. He later apologized and has since knelt.

De Kock made his Test debut in 2014 against Australia and played 54 Tests, scoring 3300 runs at an average of 38.82 with six centuries.

He later scored a match-winning century in Hobart. That year, which helped South Africa win a third consecutive series in Australia. He averaged 63.18 in 2016, his best performance in a calendar year.
