Iyer – Rahul World Cup: Before the ODI World Cup, the injury of Indian players has increased the concern of BCCI and fans. Players like Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna have been fit and have also made a comeback in Team India, but it is difficult for Rishabh Pant to return to the field this year. The fitness of two more important players of India, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, also remains a matter of concern for the BCCI and the team management.
Here is the update regarding KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer :-
KL Rahul may be fit before the World Cup, but it is difficult for Shreyas Iyer to be fully fit before this tournament. A source associated with BCCI has given this information. According to the source, there is every possibility that senior batsman KL Rahul will not be able to play in the upcoming Asia Cup as he will take more time to recover from his hamstring injury, while as far as his participation in the World Cup is concerned, it will be Shreyas Iyer’s participation. Can be difficult too.

Rahul has already started the keeping practice :-
Rahul has already started his keeping practice. But looking at India’s Asia Cup campaign starting early next month; keeping up for 50 overs as the hamstring heals will be a bit difficult.
Rahul’s fitness is very important in the larger context. He will bat at number five as well and is expected to play a big role in the middle overs. The Indian team management would like to have at least one of these two fit and available for the World Cup.
