SA will play in a T20I tri-series with West Indies and India in east London in January–February 2023. As they look to build up to the Women’s T20 World Cup at home. The three sides are scheduled to play each other twice in a round-robin stage. With the top two teams meeting in the final on February 2, with Buffalo Park hosting all games.

India and West Indies placed in Group B

The World Cup will begin on February 10, with the final on February 26 at Newlands, Cape Town. In the World Cup, South Africa are clubbed with Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Meanwhile, India and West Indies placed in Group B along with England, Ireland and Pakistan.

“These two sides [India and West Indies] are among the most talented and entertaining nations in women’s T20 cricket, having played two of the last four finals, with West Indies lifting the trophy in 2016,” said CSA’s Enoch Nkewe Cricket Director said in a statement. “This momentum will give the Proteas a highly competitive build-up to the final prize of the T20 World Cup.”
