South African batsman Keegan Pietersen will represent Durham in the 2022 county season, the club announced on Thursday (17 February).

The County Championship Accessible To Play:-

Pietersen will be accessible to play seven County Championship games – the last being Durham’s match against Worcestershire which starts on 12 June.

Keegan, who made his Test debut against the West Indies last year, has played five Test matches for South Africa.

He impressed in the home series against India, topping the run charts with 276 runs in three Tests.

The Forced to Miss New Zealand Tour:-

The 28-year-old was forced to miss the ongoing New Zealand tour of South Africa due to COVID-19.

Pietersen has been doing well at the first-class level, scoring 6590 runs including 16 centuries and 32 fifties. Looking forward to his stint with Durham.
