SRH vs RR: Winning Start of Rajasthan Royals, Beat Hyderabad by 72 Runs in the First Match, Chahal-Bolt Shone

Last season’s runner-up team Rajasthan Royals have started their campaign with a win in this season as well. Rajasthan has defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 72 runs in their first match. With this, Hyderabad has become the first team to lose at home this season. Batting first, Rajasthan had scored 203 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Hyderabad team could score only 131 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs and lost the match.

Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson scored half-centuries with the bat for Rajasthan. At the same time, Boult took two wickets with the ball and Chahal took four wickets. At the same time, Abdul Samad scored the most unbeaten 32 runs for Hyderabad.

Butler and Jaiswal Gave Rajasthan a Fast Start

Batting first after losing the toss, Rajasthan got off to a great start. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler batted aggressively and added 85 runs for the first wicket. After the powerplay, the score of this team was 85 runs for one wicket. Jos Buttler was dismissed for 54 off 22 balls, but Jaiswal and Sanju Samson continued to score runs at a brisk pace. Jaiswal got out after scoring 54 runs in 37 balls. Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal (two runs) and Riyan Parag (seven runs) disappointed, but Samson did not let the run rate slow down. The run rate of the Rajasthan team remained close to 10.

Sanju Samson got out in the 19th over of the innings after scoring 55 runs in 32 balls. However, by then Hetmyer had come into rhythm. He played an unbeaten inning of 22 runs in 16 balls. Hyderabad bowlers did well in the end overs, but Rajasthan’s team managed to score 203 runs for five wickets. It was a good score on any ground or pitch.

Fazalhaq Farooqui and T Natarajan got two wickets each for Hyderabad. At the same time, Umran Malik got a breakthrough. However, the economy rate of four Hyderabad bowlers was more than 10. Only T Natraj (7.70) and Adil Rashid (8.20) proved to be marginally economical.

Hyderabad Team Scattered in Front of Big Target

Chasing a big target of 204 runs, the Hyderabad team also needed to make a big score in the powerplay, but this team could not do so. Boult bowled Abhishek Sharma on the third ball of the innings. On the fifth ball of the same over, he also got Rahul Tripathi caught at slip. Two batsmen had returned to the pavilion before Hyderabad’s account was opened. Mayank Agarwal tried to handle the innings with Harry Brook, but Brook was dismissed after scoring 13 runs in 21 balls. After this Hyderabad’s wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Five Hyderabad Batsmen Could Not Touch Double Figures

Same, Chahal took four wickets in the middle overs. Apart from these two, Jason Holder and Ravichandran Ashwin got one wicket each. Navdeep Saini was the only Rajasthan bowler in this match, whose economy rate was more than 10. Saini looted 34 runs in two overs.
