South Africa t20 League Rules
- After the toss, the captain can select his playing XI. Before the toss, the captains will have to give a list of 13 players and after that they can select 11 players. The remaining two players will be considered as substitutes.
- On the other hand, if a fielder tries to run out the batsman through direct hit and if the ball goes away from the stump in that round, then the batsman cannot take the run of the over throw.
- On the other hand, if the batsman is bowled on the ball of free hit, even then he cannot run away and take the run of the bye. In the T20 World Cup, against Pakistan, Virat Kohli took a similar run.
- There is also a rule of bonus points in this league. Here the winning team will get 4 points, but if that team has 1.25 times better run rate than its opponent, then it will also get a bonus point. Means he will get 5 marks instead of 4.
- Powerplay in South Africa T20 League will be in two parts. The first powerplay will be of 4 overs, while the second powerplay will be of 2 overs. Apart from this, the strategic time out will be of two and a half minutes each in both the innings.
- If two teams are tied in the points table. Then the team that wins the most matches during that time will advance. And there is a tie in the won matches, it will be seen who gets the maximum bonus points. If it remains equal there too, then the run rate will decide.
