T20 WC 2022: Mohammed Shami enters Team India for T20 World Cup, will replace Jasprit Bumrah

New Delhi: A major change has been made in the Indian cricket team for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has entered Team India. Shami has been linked with the main team of Jasprit Bumrah. Earlier, he was included as a traveling reserve for the T20 World Cup. T20 World 2022 is starting from 16 October. At the same time, the Indian team will play its first match in this tournament with arch-rivals Pakistan on 23 October.

Team India’s leading fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was injured just before the T20 World Cup. The last date for changes in the World Cup squad was October 15. Because of this, the name of Mohammed Shami has been announced as the replacement of Bumrah.

Please tell that Jasprit Bumrah returned to Team India from the Test match on the England tour. After this he was injured due to which he could not play in the Asia Cup held in UAE. Mohammed Shami is back in Team India

Mohammed Shami has not taken the field for Indian T in the T20 format for a long time. The last time he played for India was in the T20 World Cup 2021. After this he got a chance in the home T20 series against South Africa but due to corona infection, he could not play in it either. However, despite this, the Indian team management expressed confidence in him.
