The Indian team will start its campaign in the T20 World Cup on 23 October. Team India will play this match against Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground. For this, captain Rohit Sharma has prepared the playing-11. He has also mentioned about this many times. However, the biggest problem for the team management is to choose between the wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. However, the legendary Sunil Gavaskar feels that India can give a chance to both of them in the upcoming T20 World Cup, but for this a better plan has to be prepared. Gavaskar has also told about that plan.

Karthik may come to bat at number 7

The 73-year-old Gavaskar said during a show on the sports channel – Hardik Pandya will be the sixth bowler if Team India takes the field with six bowlers. In such a situation, Pant will not get a place. However, if the team management decides to go with Hardik Pandya as the fifth bowler, Rishabh Pant has a chance to bat at No.6 and Karthik might come to bat at No.7. In this case, four main bowlers will play. Well that will be something to be seen.

Gavaskar said that he definitely wants a left-hander in the Indian middle order. Gavaskar said- Seeing India’s top four who are in such good form, you sometimes ask yourself that in how many overs will Rishabh Pant take the field? Will he be able to get three or four overs? For the last three or four overs, who is better Karthik or Rishabh? So, these are all situations that the team management will look into and they will take a call on.

Gavaskar also talked about Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi

Gavaskar also talked about Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and said that he looked completely fit in the warm-up match against England. Shaheen returned in the practice match against England and conceded seven runs in two overs. Shaheen did not play in the Asia Cup due to injury. Gavaskar said- I think this was the main concern of Pakistan. Pakistan players were worried about Shaheen’s fitness and how long he would be fit. Certainly the two overs that Shaheen bowled showed that he was completely fit. So it is clear that a headache of Pakistan is gone.
