The governing body has already tweaked the upcoming domestic schedule for women to ensure that the much-anticipated event goes smoothly next year.

The domestic season (for women) usually starts in the month of November every year and goes on till April, but keeping in mind the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in South Africa in January next year, it has been extended for a month this year. has been postponed.

The 37 teams from across the country will Participate in this event:-

The domestic season will begin with the Senior T20 Trophy on 11 October 2022. 37 teams from across the country will participate in this event. All the teams have been divided into five groups in total and they will be seeing fighting for the title.

Defending champion Railways are placed in Group B, while runners-up Maharashtra is part of Group D along with Delhi and Haryana. The tournament will conclude on November 5.

The Women’s IPL will replace the Women’s T20 Challenge competition held every year. Since its inception in 2018, the tournament will be holding annually, with a gap in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three Teams With Velocity As Third Party:-

The tournament was playing in its first year as a one-off match between the Supernovas and the Trailblazers and was later transforming into a three-team event with Velocity as the third side.

Apart from Indian internationals and domestic players, the competition has also seen several foreign internationals in the past.
