Three centuries from Pakistan, rain of runs continues in Rawalpindi Test

It rained runs on the third day of the Rawalpindi Test between Pakistan and England (PAK vs ENG). In reply to England’s 657, Pakistan had scored 499/7 at stumps on the third day. Captain Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafiq scored centuries for Pakistan.

Playing on the second day’s score of 181/0, Pakistan had scored 298/3 at lunch on the third day. Imam-ul-Haq scored 121 and Abdullah Shafiq scored 114 and both batsmen scored their third Test centuries. Azhar Ali got out after scoring just 27 runs.

There was no setback for Pakistan between lunch and tea

There were no setbacks for Pakistan between lunch and tea and the score was 411/3 after the second session. Babar Azam took the team past 400 with the help of his eighth Test century. In the last session after tea, England tried to return by taking four wickets and gave big shocks to Pakistan.

Babar Azam was dismissed for 136, while Saud Shakeel was dismissed for 37, Mohammad Rizwan for 29 and Naseem Shah for 15. At stumps, Agha Salman was unbeaten on 10 and Zahid Mahmood on 1. For England, Will Jacks took three wickets, Jack Leach took two wickets and James Anderson and Ollie Robinson took one wicket each.

On the third day, England will be eyeing a quick all-out of Pakistan, while Pakistan’s team would like to get closer to England’s score. Seeing the rain of runs on the first day, this match is currently heading towards a draw. However, in the last two days, the dice of the match can turn.

The England team is currently on a tour of Pakistan for a three-Test series and this series can see a huge upset in the points table of the ICC World Test Championship.
