Before the start of the 16th season of IPL, India and RCB veteran batsman Virat Kohli told about two all-time great players of the world. He named Sachin Tendulkar of India and Vivian Richards of West Indies. Kohli believes that these two players changed cricket completely.

In the video shared by RCB, Virat Kohli said –

“I have always taken two names, Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Viv Richards. Sachin is my hero. These two revolutionized batting in their generation and changed cricket completely. So I think they are two of the greatest.” Kohli’s team RCB will play their first match in the IPL against Mumbai Indians on April 2.

The figures of Sachin and Vivian Richards justify Virat’s words. In 664 international matches, Sachin has scored 34,357 runs at an average of 48.52. During this, he scored 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries. His best score is 248 not out. He has many records of cricket in his account. These include the most runs in Test, ODI and international cricket. Sachin has also taken 201 wickets in international cricket.

Richards was one of the most dangerous batsmen of his time –

Talking about Vivian Richards, he was one of the most dangerous batsmen of his time. Richards was part of the West Indies team that won the 1975 and 1979 Cricket World Cups. He scored 8540 runs in 121 Tests at an average of 50.23. He has 24 centuries and 45 fifties in his account. Richards has scored 6721 runs in 187 ODIs at an average of 47.00. These include 11 centuries and 45 fifties.
