Cancer. That disease, on hearing its name, the soul of the good will tremble. This disease has killed many people. Today i.e. on February 4, Cancer Day is celebrated. Only the one who is suffering from this disease can understand its real pain. Many people give up in front of it but there are some people who defeat this disease itself. But when the news of his cancer came, not only this cricketer but the entire cricket world was stunned. India won the ODI World Cup in 2011 in its hosting. The credit for the victory of this team is given to the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but Yuvraj Singh did wonders with both his bat and ball in this tournament. He was elected Man of the Tournament. But only after this he had come under the grip of cancer.

Yuvraj Singh Was Vomiting Blood

India won the World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka on 2 April. Seven months later, in November-2011, it was found that Yuvraj had a tumor in his lungs and three months later, it was found that this tumor was cancerous. Everyone was surprised as soon as this news came. How can a player who lives such a healthy lifestyle get cancer? After this, Yuvraj Singh told that even before the start of the World Cup, he was vomiting blood. He told that he had vomited blood during India’s tour of South Africa in January 2011. With time, his pain and suffering increased and when the World Cup came around, he started getting worried about his life.

Strict Treatment Started in 2012

Yuvraj was in a lot of trouble but he did not give up. In the beginning of 2012, he went to America and stayed there for three months and underwent chemotherapy. Yuvraj Singh passed three stages of this surgery. Facing all the pain, Yuvraj did not give up. During this, he had also become weak, but with the spirit of comeback, this player fought strongly against every trouble. In April-2012, he returned to India after getting his treatment and by August this lion had returned to Team India.
