Windies Skipper Pollard smashed 6 sixes in an over

West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard created history he smashed 6 sixes in an over

He played a brilliant inning in the six balls of spinner Akila Dananjaya, who himself created history by taking a sensational hat-trick wicket.

Kieron Pollard hit four of the sixes into the onside and the other two of the sixes went straight over the head of the spin bowler Akila Dananjaya

Pollard became the first West Indian to hit six sixes in an over and the third batsman to ever hit six consecutive sixes in an international cricket

he joins South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs in 2007 at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and India’s Yuvraj Singh the same year at the first-ever ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

In the first T20I match Pollard scored 38 runs in just 11 deliveries with the 345.45 strike rate and including six consecutive sixes

“I just had to come out and back myself. It was something the team needed. I didn’t see the hat trick, I only heard. But I still had to come out and do what the team required at that point in time. After the third six, I felt it was possible. I went for it and it paid off. In the space of those six balls, we made a huge statement,”

I thought the objective was to win and we did that. There are a couple of things to iron out and we will take the win and have discussions on how we can improve.”– Captain Pollard said
