According to the ICC, the Indian government on Monday evening approved the grant of visa to the neighboring country, Pakistan cricket team. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had raised serious concerns with the ICC over visa issues, claiming that the delay in getting visas was affecting the team’s preparations.

The Pakistani team will play the World Cup after two practice matches in Hyderabad. The team has to play its first practice match against New Zealand on 29 September. The PCB, in a letter to ICC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Geoff Allardice, claimed that its concerns over visas given to players, team officials, fans and journalists for the World Cup in India have not been addressed for more than three years.
