ICC suspends Kyle Phillip: The US cricket team has suffered a major setback during the World Cup qualifiers. Fast bowler Kyle Phillip has been suspended for a suspect bowling action. Phillips was reported for questionable action following the United States’ defeat against the West Indies in the first match of the World Cup qualifiers in Harare.

Big problems of USA :-

Phillip took 3 wickets for 56 runs in that match. His suspension comes at a time when the American camp is grappling with illness of players. Many players with flu have been unwell or have been resting because of the flu outbreak.

ICC panel suspended Kyle Phillip for the reason :-

Phillip played the second ODI of the tournament for the USA against Nepal. Earlier in the match played against the West Indies, his bowling action was deemed illegal by the Event Panel as per Article 6.7 of the ICC Regulations. Kyle Phillip was suspended following the investigation.

Philippe’s suspension from bowling in international cricket will remain in place until his action is reviewed by an ICC expert panel or an ICC approved testing centre.

Difficult for Kyle Phillip to play even in MLC :-

In such a situation, Phillip’s bowling suspension will raise doubts over his participation in the inaugural edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) starting on 13 July. Phillip was bought by MI New York in the domestic player draft.
