Netherlands beat West Indies in super over: In the most exciting match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier, the Netherlands caused a big upset by defeating the West Indies. The Caribbean team could not defend 374 runs and the match was tied.

After this, in the Super Over, Netherlands batsman Logan van Beek thrashed Jason Holder and scored 30 runs, hitting three sixes and as many fours, in response to which the Caribbean team could only manage eight runs.

World Cup Qualifiers 2023: The thrill of the last over at its peak :-

Actually, Netherlands needed 9 runs in the last over to win. The ball was in the hands of Alzarri Joseph from the West Indies side. Van Beek hit a four on the very first ball left by Joseph.

With this four, the hopes of the Netherlands were also raised. Five runs were to be scored in the last five balls. However, Joseph spent only four runs in the next five balls including two wickets and the score was tied.

Van Beek rocked in the super over :-

Jason Holder came to bowl for the Caribbean team in the Super Over. Van Beek was once again on strike for the Netherlands and he was given another chance to shine by luck. Beak hits the first ball that comes out of the holder’s hand.

After this, six on the second, four on the third and another six comes out of Van Beek’s bat on the fourth ball. 20 runs were scored in 4 balls. While the Netherlands camp smelled of victory, the West Indies players were bewildered and upset. He ends the Super Over by hitting a six on the fifth ball of the over and hitting a four on the last ball.
