WPL 2024 auction, unsold players: In the Womens Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction held on Saturday, franchises spent crores in the bids for Kashvee Gautam and Annabel Sutherland, while big stars like Chamari Athapaththu and Deandra Dottin did not find any buyers. The franchise spent Rs 12.75 crore on 30 different players, but pulled out of spending on big players.

Chamari Athapaththu did not find any buyer :-

Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu had entered the field with a base price of Rs 50 lakh but no one showed any interest in taking her. What is interesting here is that Athapaththu had scored 552 runs in 14 innings, apart from taking nine wickets in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) season.
