WTC Final 2023, Travis Head and Smith: The first day of the final match of the World Test Championship was entirely in the name of Kangaroo batsmen. Indian bowlers were successful in taking wickets in the beginning, but in front of Travis Head and Steve Smith, captain Rohit’s every bet completely failed.

Till the end of the day’s play between Smith-Head, there has been an unbroken 251-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Along with this, the Kangaroo pair has also destroyed the 15-year-old record of Ponting and Clarke.

Smith-Head broke 15 years old record :-

By the end of the first day’s play of the final match of WTC, Australia has scored 327 runs losing 3 wickets on the score board. Steve Smith and Travis Head have so far put together a 251-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Head 146, Smith unbeaten on 95. Together they broke the 15-year-old record of Ponting and Michael Clarke.

Playing for Australia in Test cricket against India, Smith-Head has made the third largest partnership for the fourth wicket. In this case, he has left behind Ponting and Clarke, who added 210 runs for the fourth wicket against India in the year 2008.

Head became the first centurion in World Test Championship final :-

Travis Head has become the first batsman to score a century in the final of the World Test Championship. He completed the century in just 106 balls while batting in a fast manner. Head was in fine form from the outset and shot freely all around the ground. The Indian bowling attack looked completely helpless in front of the head.
