WTC Final Race: Team India finished second in the World Test Championship

WTC Final Race, IND vs BAN: India clean sweeps Bangladesh 2-0 to secure the second spot in ICC World Test Championship points table. Whereas, South Africa is in third place. But the road ahead is going to be difficult for Rohit Sharma & Co. When Australia tour India in February for a 4-match Test series. India will have to win 3 out of 4 matches to make it to the WTC finals.

Australia topped the chart. South Africa is currently playing against Australia. India will be hoping for a 3-0 win for the Aussies against the Proteas. This will make things easier for India, who will need just one series win.

South Africa can overtake India to reach second place

If South Africa stages a comeback to seal the series 2–1 and then win 2–0 against the West Indies. After this, South Africa can overtake India to reach the second position. In such a situation, it will be very important for India to win again against Australia at home by 3-1 or 2-0.
