Former player Sunil Joshi has selected Kuldeep Yadav instead of Yuzvendra Chahal for the upcoming ODI World Cup. He has said that he will select Kuldeep Yadav in his team. According to Sunil Joshi, Yuzvendra Chahal has lost his grip and that is why he will have to return to domestic cricket to regain his form.

I will not Select Chahal in the World Cup team – Sunil Joshi
According to Sunil Joshi, Chahal is going through a period where his form is not that good. Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, he said,

Any bowler can go through this period in his career, maybe Chahal is also in the same phase. Chahal is not able to find his rhythm and the team management should ask him to go and play domestic cricket. To get in form, it is very important for him to get match time. That is the ideal preparation for Chahal. I will not select Chahal in my World Cup team. Ravindra Jadeja will be in my team. If they are also not in rhythm then you have Akshar Patel or Washington Sundar or Ravi Bishnoi.

If I had to pick another leg-spinner, I would go for Ravi Bishnoi. Kuldeep Yadav is in a phase where he is in perfect rhythm. He just needs more consistency. He just needs to know how he will approach each team and venue. Even though the World Cup is in India, each ground has its own dimension. They have to prepare themselves according to each situation.
