Australian Spinner Adam Zampa becomes the fourth specialist spinner from Australia to play 100th matches including all international matches

Zampa played 61 One Day International matches and he took 92 wickets and his bowing average of 32.6 and Zampa also played 38 T20I matches and he took 40 wickets with an average of 22.3 and this match against New Zealand today (march 3 2021) is 100th match of the spinner

Zampa joins Shane Warne (338 matches), Brad Hogg (145 matches), and Nathan Lyon (131 matches) as the only specialist spinners to play 100 matches across all international formats for Australia.

He made his ODI debut on 6 February 2016 against New Zealand in the second match of the 2015–16 Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series.

He made his T20 International debut for Australia against South Africa on 4 March 2016

“When you reflect on five years ago, you’re a kid who is literally just hoping to get on the next tour and give yourself a two-year career,” Zampa told

“I don’t know if that’s how everyone else starts off in their own mind but it’s pretty tough being a leg-spinner.

“Not many people have been able to sustain it for a long period of time so it’s something that I’m a little bit proud of.”
