Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Varun Chakravarthy said that dew played on his mind forcing the ball to slip out of his hands during the Indian Premier League match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday.

Chakravarthy has been very impressive so far that he revealed that he is working on a new mystery ball. He bowled brilliantly against the Punjab Kings and finished his spell of four overs with one wicket to his name and conceded just 24 runs. He has been one of the best bowlers from KKR in this edition.

In the last ten overs, dew really started setting in and there’s a lot off the dew. It really gripped the ball, few balls are slipping and we have to dry each ball, said Chakravarthy.

Chakravarthy has a dream season in the last IPL. He was called up to the Indian T20 squad. Unfortunately, he had to miss out due to injury. However, his progress has been really good. His tight lines have been very hard for the batsman to go after. He has been handling the middle overs really well. He has become a bank for the skipper to rely on.
