According to the information, there is a possibility of bidding for players for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Dubai. It is expected that the bidding may take place between 15th and 19th December.
Although no formal notification has been sent by BCCI to the franchises regarding this, the discussion is hot. According to CrizBuzz, the IPL auction will be held in Dubai.
BCCI had considered holding last year’s auction in Istanbul but later the bidding was conducted in Kochi.
The trading window is currently open, but there have been no reports of player swaps between IPL franchises yet.
Will WPL 2024 Start in February?
At the same time, no information has been given to the franchises of the teams regarding the auction date of the Women’s Premier League. However, according to reports, WPL 2024 may be organized from February. The Indian women’s cricket team will be busy playing international matches till January 2024.

IPL Governing Council Chairman Arum Dhumal has already confirmed that IPL 2024 will be held in India despite the general elections scheduled next year.
Dhumal confirmed in an interview last week that the dates of IPL 2024 will be announced after the announcement of the general elections.

Dhumal said, “IPL will be held in India next year. We will need time to make the program as it will be made after the announcement of general election dates by the election committee. We will have to see when elections will be held in different states and make schedules accordingly.”
