Afghanistan fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as a net bowler

Afghanistan fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi has been contracted by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as a net bowler.

Announcing this, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) tweeted pictures of Farooqi going to Chennai.

Fazalhaq Farooqi made his international debut with the third T20I against Zimbabwe on 20 March. He started bowling for Afghanistan and took his first wicket off the fifth ball of the first over.

Chennai Super Kings preparation camp shifted from Chennai to Mumbai on Thursday. The three-time IPL champions play their first five matches in Mumbai.

Chennai Ssuper Kings will face Delhi Capitals on 10 April, Punjab Kings on 16 April, Rajasthan Royals on 19 April, Kolkata Knight Riders on 21 April and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 25 April in the same venue at Mumbai.
