Chennai Super Kings, led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who failed to make it to the playoffs in the last season of the IPL, will enter this season with strong intentions.
The Chennai team failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in IPL history last year. they could not get the rhythm last season.
The Chennai team includes players like Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, and Imran Tahir, but they have also included some new faces for this season.
Not being able to score runs in the powerplay last season and the lack of a middle-order was a major reason for Chennai’s flop performance.
Raina did not play in the IPL last year, but his return this season will strengthen the team’s batting order.
