MS Dhoni has stepped down as captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rohit Sharma was removed from captaincy by the Mumbai Indians (MI), and Virat Kohli had already relinquished leadership of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2021.

This marks the first time in the 16-year history of the IPL that none of these three iconic players will be leading their teams!
