The Court Orders Removal Of RCB Jersey From Rajinikanth’s Film ‘Jailer’. After which the Delhi High Court has ordered the removal of that scene. The filmmakers have been given time till September 1 to remove the RCB jersey scene.
Filmmakers to remove the RCB Jersey scene:-
South Superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Jailer’ has shown a scene wearing the Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey featuring Virat Kohli.

In this film, a shooter is wearing an RCB jersey, but on the orders of the court, this scene has been asked to be removed completely.
The Delhi High Court, while ordering the deletion of the RCB jersey scene from the film ‘Jailer’, observed that “all parties acting for or on their behalf, including the defendants and their distribution networks, shall be bound by the aforesaid terms and conditions”.
From September 1, 2023, the RCB team jersey will be seen changed in the dramatic portrayal of the movie Jailor. The Respondents shall ensure that after September 1, 2023, no theater shall display the RCB jersey in any form whatsoever.
As far as television, satellite, or any OTT platform is concerned. The altered version of the film will be aired before its release.”
The RCB lodged a complaint:-
Royal Challengers Bangalore claims that the use of the jersey has been shown in a negative light in the film. And that the team’s permission was not taken before the jersey was used.
Negative usage has been done to damage its brand image. It was further reported that RCB and the filmmakers have reached an understanding.
The makers of the film have agreed to change the jersey in such a way. It will not be portrayed as an RCB jersey.
The Removing the Primary colors of the RCB jersey in this:-
“This would include removal of the primary colors of the RCB jersey and sponsors’ branding etc. which appear on the RCB jersey”, the parties said.
The court then observed that “Considering the fact that the feature film JAILER has already been released in the cinema halls on 10th August 2023.

The parties have agreed that the defendants shall execute this change in dramatic mode within ten days i.e. by September 1, 2023.
