All the teams are ready for this tournament and doing strong practice. These speculations are being made everywhere since the beginning of this season.
This could be Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s last season and after that he will take retirement. However, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has some other thoughts about it.
Rohit said this about Dhoni’s future:-
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma attended a press conference ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In this, he answered many questions.
Out of which the most brilliant answer came about the future of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rohit said, “Dhoni is fully fit to play for another 2-3 years.
I don’t think this is going to be his last year.” Speculation about Dhoni’s future is rife and Rohit’s statement assumes significance.
Dhoni’s record in the Indian Premier League:-
So far in the IPL, Dhoni has scored 4,978 runs at an average of 39.19. His best score has been 84 and he has scored 23 fifties.
Dhoni has batted at a strike rate of 135.19 during this period. He will complete 5,000 runs in IPL as soon as he scores 22 runs. He will be only the sixth player to achieve this feat.
Chennai Hopes For Good Performance in IPL:-
Chennai had a disappointing performance in the Indian Premier League 2022 and the team finished at the 10th position.
After this, in the auction this year, the team has included a brilliant all-rounder like Ben Stokes in its team, who can also become the captain of the team next year. In such a situation, Chennai will expect a special performance from him this year.
